Skincare with fatty acids
The best known fatty acids, which are related to hair and skin health, are omega 3 and omega 6. Even in commercial foods specially formulated for dogs, deficiencies in fatty acids can be detected.
When a dog lacks the necessary fatty acids for months, in addition to dandruff, we will notice dull hair and more oily skin areas.
They can develop inflammations and infections that will complicate the picture. Although some caregivers in this situation choose to administer fatty acid supplements on their own, it is not the best idea. The vet can only prescribe food supplements.
